omg, you guys, have you heard about pete hines leaving bethesda? i know, it's old news, but i just heard an interview where he talks about why he left and it's pretty juicy. so, pete hines was with bethesda for like, over 24 years, which is crazy. he worked on some of their biggest games, like elder scrolls and fallout.
anyway, he's retired now and he's not holding back about why he left. basically, he said he realized he couldn't keep doing something that didn't feel right for him. he felt like he was staying at bethesda because he thought they needed him, but at the same time, he felt powerless to make the changes he thought were necessary. it's kinda sad, because you can tell he really cared about the company and the people who work there.
i think what's really interesting is that he didn't specifically call out anyone or any particular event. he just talked about how he felt like the company had changed and he couldn't keep up with it. it's not hard to read between the lines, though. it sounds like he's not a fan of the direction bethesda is heading, and that's pretty disappointing. i mean, bethesda has always been one of those companies that's known for making amazing games, but it seems like things have changed lately.
i'm not gonna lie, it's a bit worrying to hear that someone who's been with the company for so long feels this way. it makes me wonder what's going on behind the scenes and whether we'll see any changes in their upcoming games. preorders are available at major retailers for their new games, but i'm not sure if i'm gonna jump on thatRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
