omg, you guys, have you heard the latest about doki doki literature club? it just got pulled from the google play store, which is pretty wild considering it was only released on there a few months ago. i mean, i know the game is pretty intense and deals with some super sensitive themes, but still - it's not like it was a secret or anything.
i've played ddlc myself, and i can definitely see why some people might find it disturbing. it starts off all cute and romantic, but things take a dark turn pretty quickly. there are warnings all over the place, though, so you'd think that would be enough to keep it on the google play store. apparently not, since google decided it violates their terms of service. it's kinda frustrating, since the game is available on tons of other platforms like ios, nintendo switch, and playstation.
i'm curious to see what serenity forge, the studio behind ddlc, is going to do next. they're trying to find a way to get the game back on the google play store, but they're also looking into other ways to get it to android users. maybe they'll release it on some other kind of app store or something? preorders are available at major retailers, btw, if you're interested in checking it out on a different platform.
anyway, i think it's pretty cool that the devs are being all transparent about what's going on. they're not trying to hide anything or pretend like the game is something it's not. if you're easily disturbed, then yeah, maybe ddlc isn't the game for you. but if you're looking for something that's gonna push some boundaries and make you think, then you might want to give it a shotRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
