so i just heard about this crazy thing in crimson desert where players are managing to break free from the game's open world and explore outer space. i know, it sounds wild, but apparently it's real and it's actually pretty detailed. i'm talking galaxies, celestial bodies, the whole nine yards.
it all started when some players discovered that using a mod to give the protagonist kliff unlimited stamina allowed them to infinitely aerial stab their way into the cosmos. yeah, it sounds like a bit of a cheat, but hey, it's not like the game was designed for this kind of thing anyway. and it's not like it's easy to do - apparently it takes several hours to accomplish, so you've got to be pretty dedicated to make it happen.
but the payoff is definitely worth it. from what i've seen, the view from space is actually really impressive. you can see the curvature of the game's world, which is pretty cool, and there are even galaxies and other celestial bodies visible in the distance. and when you descend back down to the earth, kliff even looks like he's on fire when he reenters the atmosphere, which is a pretty sweet touch. i'm not sure if that's actually a deliberate effect or just a side effect of the mod, but it's still pretty cool.
i've got to admit, i'm a bit impressed by the level of detail that the game's developers put into the game's world, even in areas that players weren't really meant to access. it just goes to show that even when players do manage to break the rules, there's still plenty of cool stuff to discover. and who knows, maybe this will even inspire the developers to add more space-based content to the game in the future. preorders areRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
