omg, you guys, this is so cool - cody rhodes just totally geeked out at summerslam with a street fighter themed costume. i mean, i'm a huge fan of both wrestling and retro games, so this is like the ultimate mashup for me. apparently, he's going to be playing guile in the upcoming street fighter movie, which is pretty fitting considering his outfit was totally inspired by the character.

so, basically, rhodes' costume was a nod to guile's iconic look, complete with a mask that captured the essence of his ridiculous hairdo. and, let's be real, it's not like we didn't see this coming - the street fighter movie was one of the sponsors of summerslam, after all. but still, it's awesome to see cody rhodes embracing his inner geek like this. the wwe even got in on the action, featuring a character select screen similar to street fighter 2 before rhodes' entrance, with wwe performers standing in for the usual capcom characters.

i have to say, the attention to detail in rhodes' costume was pretty impressive. his tights had a camouflage pattern similar to guile's default costume, and his entrance coat even had his name stitched on in the familiar street fighter font. sadly, he didn't actually bust out any sonic booms or flash kicks during the match, but a girl can dream, right? it's also worth noting that street fighter wasn't the only gaming sponsor at summerslam - gears of war was also represented on the ring mat.

anyway, the street fighter movie is set to hit theaters on october 16, and i am totally stoked. the cast looks amazing, and i'm loving the marketing so far. we've alreadyRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
