i just heard that call of duty is no longer going to be available on xbox game pass on launch day, and honestly, it's not that surprising. i mean, the game is super popular and microsoft wants to make that dough, right? so now, if you want to play it as soon as it comes out, you'll have to buy it separately. but here's the thing - the price of xbox game pass ultimate has actually gone down, from $30 to $23 a month.

i think this could be a good thing, though. i've always felt like game pass has been a bit overwhelming, with all these huge aaa games competing for your attention. i mean, have you seen the way call of duty and forza horizon are designed? they're like, meant to suck you in and keep you playing forever, with all these live-service elements and whatnot. and don't even get me started on the deluxe editions and the whole "pay a bit more to get it early" thing. it's all just a bit much, you know?

but what if game pass took a different approach? what if they had a whole separate tier that was just focused on smaller, indie games and stuff? i think that would be really cool, because those games often get lost in the shuffle when they're up against these huge franchises. and if they priced it lower, like, maybe $10 or $15 a month, i think that would be a really great deal. i'd definitely be down to try it out, because i love discovering new games and supporting smaller devs.
