so, the game is set in paris in 1499, which is like, 23 years after the events of castlevania: dracula's curse. i love that we're going back to the classic 2d style - it feels so nostalgic and perfect for exploration and combat. and the best part? we're not just fighting dracula's minions this time around. the developers, evil empire, have woven in some french legends to create these twisted, nightmare bosses. i mean, can you imagine facing off against a corrupted joan of arc? that's some dark magic right there.
