so, call of duty: modern warfare 4 just got announced, and i'm pretty stoked about it. one thing that caught my eye was this "loyalty" discount they're offering for the vault edition - it's not a ton, but 10% off is still pretty cool, especially since the vault edition is a whopping $100.
basically, to get this discount, you need to have played a call of duty game since 2019. that includes a bunch of titles like modern warfare, black ops cold war, and vanguard. if you've played any of those games digitally or physically, you're good to go. it's a nice way for activision to reward fans who have been loyal to the series, i guess. oh, and if you've played one of these games on xbox game pass or claimed a free title from playstation plus, that counts too.
i think it's kinda cool that they're offering this discount, but it's not like it's a huge deal or anything. i mean, 10% off is still only $10, which is basically just enough to cover tax. still, if you're planning on getting the vault edition anyway, it's nice to save a little cash. and hey, the vault edition comes with a bunch of extras like weapons, cosmetics, and season 1's blackcell bundle, so it's not like you're not getting anything for your money.
the discount only applies to preorders, and only if you're buying on the same platform and with the same account that you used to play the previous call of duty game. so, if you're planning on switching from xbox to playstation or something, you're out of luck. also, if you want to upgrade to the vault editionRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
