omg, you guys, have you heard the amazing news about call of duty: modern warfare 4? basically, they're fixing one of the biggest problems that annoyed me (and probably lots of you) about black ops 7 - the always-online requirement for the campaign. i mean, who hasn't been in the middle of a super intense mission, only to have their internet connection drop and lose all their progress? it was literally the worst.
so, modern warfare 4 is changing that by letting you play the single-player campaign offline, which is a huge relief for anyone with a spotty connection (like me, lol). and it's especially great news if you're planning to play on a portable device like the steam deck or the new nintendo switch 2 edition, because let's be real, maintaining a stable connection on those things can be a total nightmare. i'm so glad the devs are listening to our complaints and making some much-needed changes.
i have to say, i'm still a bit traumatized from playing black ops 7's campaign - the constant fear of being booted back to the previous checkpoint because of a dropped connection was so stressful. and don't even get me started on the annoying background noise from other players during cutscenes. but it sounds like modern warfare 4 is going to be a whole different story, with a darker and more intense campaign that you can actually enjoy without interruptions.
