so, bethesda's finally spilled the beans on what's going on with their upcoming games. todd howard, the big cheese at bethesda game studios, has been chatting with interviewers and giving us a peek into what's next for the elder scrolls and fallout series. i'm beyond stoked to hear that the elder scrolls 6 is coming along nicely - it's their main focus right now, and apparently, it's shaping up to be an amazing game.

i'm a bit curious about the whole xbox exclusivity thing, though. howard didn't want to talk about that just yet, which is fair, i guess. after all, we don't even have a release date for the elder scrolls 6 or fallout 5, so it's still early days. but the fact that fallout 5 is in pre-production is pretty exciting - i'm hoping it'll live up to the standards set by the previous games in the series. and, of course, there are the remakes of fallout 3 and fallout: new vegas to look forward to, although we don't know when those are happening either.

one thing that did catch my eye was the news that obsidian entertainment is working on a new fallout spin-off. i love their style, and i think they could bring a really fresh perspective to the series. howard mentioned that there's a lot of mutual respect between bethesda and obsidian, which is great to hear - it sounds like they're going to be working really closely together. we don't know much about the project just yet, but i'm definitely keeping an ear out for more information.
