omg, you guys, have you heard about this new game samson: a tyndalston story? it's coming out on april 8 for pc and i am so intrigued. the game is from liquid swords, a studio founded by christofer sundberg, who you might know as the co-creator of the just cause series. he's known for being pretty outspoken, and it sounds like he's trying to shake things up with his new studio.

so, apparently liquid swords is all about keeping things real and focusing on what really matters in game development. sundberg thinks that a lot of modern games get bogged down in distractions that affect the quality and motivation of the team. i can kinda see what he means - sometimes it feels like games are more about the hype and the fancy graphics than the actual gameplay. anyway, samson is supposed to be a gritty crime game, and i'm curious to see how it turns out.

one thing that's got people talking is how samson is being compared to gta. i mean, it's not hard to see why - crime games are always going to draw those comparisons. but sundberg seems pretty confident that his game can stand on its own, and i'm willing to give it a chance. the price point is pretty reasonable too - it's launching at $25, which is definitely more accessible than some of the bigger budget games out there.
