omg, you guys, baldur's gate 3 is still going strong even after all these years. i mean, i knew the fandom was dedicated, but this is insane. apparently, there's a whole publishing program coming out with a bunch of books based on the game, and i am so here for it.
so, the big news is that there's a prequel novel called baldur's gate 3: astarion coming out on september 29. it's all about, you guessed it, astarion - my favorite vampire. the story takes place before the events of the game, and it's written by t. kingfisher, who worked with one of the game's writers to make sure it's all authentic and lore-friendly. i'm low-key excited to see what astarion was up to before we met him in the game.
but that's not all, folks. before the astarion book drops, we're getting a couple of other cool books. there's this real-life version of the necromancy of thay book from the game, which is kinda weird but also amazing. it's coming out on july 21, so mark your calendars. and if you're feeling artsy, there's also an official baldur's gate 3 coloring book with 40 images of characters and settings from the game. that one's out on august 11, and i'm tempted to grab it just for the nostalgia factor.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as stoked as i am, you can go ahead and reserve your copies now. i'm personally most excited about the astarion book, but i can see myself flipping through the coloring book and getting all nostalgic about my playthrough. whatRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
