omg, you guys, i am so stoked - we're finally getting a remake of assassin's creed iv: black flag, and it's called resynced. i mean, let's be real, this has been one of the most obvious secrets in gaming for a while now, but i'm still super excited to see what ubisoft has in store for us.

so, apparently, the worldwide reveal showcase for resynced is happening on april 23, and we'll get to see it all go down on youtube at 9 am pt or 12 pm et, depending on where you are. i'm planning on tuning in, for sure - i've heard rumors that this new version is going to be a total overhaul of the original, with updated graphics and maybe even some new gameplay mechanics.

i have to say, i'm a little curious about why ubisoft is calling resynced "gaming's worst-kept secret" - i guess it's just a tongue-in-cheek way of acknowledging that, yeah, we all knew this was coming. back in march, they gave us a little teaser, with some concept art of edward kenway standing on a ship's mast, and that just got me even more hyped for the whole thing.

anyway, preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as excited as i am, you can go ahead and secure your copy now. i'm still on the fence about whether or not i'll be preordering, but i'm definitely planning on picking up resynced as soon as it drops - the original black flag was one of my favorite games in the series, and i'm eager to see how this new version stacks up.
