omg, you guys, it's finally happening - a bloodborne movie is in the works. i've been waiting for this moment for, like, forever. as a huge fan of the game, i'm both excited and a bit nervous about how they'll bring this dark, gothic world to life on the big screen.
so, apparently, sony pictures just announced the movie at some big film industry event in las vegas. they're saying it's going to be an animated, r-rated film that stays true to the game's super gory and horror-filled vibe. i'm intrigued by the animated part - i think it could be a great way to capture the game's unique atmosphere and visuals. and, of course, the fact that it's r-rated means they won't have to hold back on the blood and gore, which is a major part of what makes bloodborne so intense.
the movie is being co-produced by a few different companies, including playstation production and lyrical media, which has a division that focuses on adult-oriented animated stuff. oh, and get this - jacksepticeye, aka sean mcloughlin, is also on board as a co-producer. i'm not sure what to expect from his involvement, but it's cool to see a gamer and streamer like him brought into the project. preorders aren't available yet, but i'm sure we'll hear more about that soon.
i'm still wondering how they'll adapt the game's story and world for the movie. bloodborne is all about exploration and atmosphere, so it'll be interesting to see how they translate that into a more linear film experience. and, of course, there's the question of whether it'll be released in theaters or just on streaming services.Read more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
