omg, have you guys heard about the drama surrounding baldur's gate 4? apparently, larian, the studio behind the super successful baldur's gate 3, has decided not to make the next one. like, what? that's crazy to me. i mean, bg3 was such a huge hit, selling over 20 million copies and winning all these awards. you'd think they'd be all over making the next one.

but nope, they're working on a new divinity game instead. and get this, hasbro and wizards of the coast actually asked another studio, archetype entertainment, to take on bg4. but they said no too. i kinda get why, though. the ceo of archetype, james ohlen, used to work on baldur's gate 2, and he said it would be "insanity" to try and compete with larian's legacy. i mean, bg3 was built on larian's own engine, and ohlen said it would take at least half a decade to build a new one.

it's weird to think about, but baldur'sRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
