so i just heard that the new james bond game, 007 first light, is getting a bit of a delay on the nintendo switch 2. which is kinda a bummer, since i was super stoked to get my hands on it. the switch 2 version is now supposed to come out sometime this summer, but no one really knows when exactly.

i guess the good news is that the other versions of the game - for ps5, xbox series x|s, and pc - are still on track to launch on may 27. i mean, that's just a few weeks away, so at least some people will get to play it soon. i'm a bit curious about why the switch 2 version got delayed, though. the developers, io interactive, didn't really say why, but they did mention that they're trying to make sure the game is as good as it can be on all platforms.

i remember that 007 first light was originally supposed to come out in march, but it got pushed back to may because the devs wanted to make sure it was polished and all that. so maybe this delay is just part of that same process. i'm trying to be patient, but it's hard when you're really looking forward to a game. preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're interested, you can still go ahead and reserve your copy.
