so i just got my hands on big walk, the new multiplayer game from the devs of untitled goose game, and i have to say - it's not what i expected. at first, i thought it was just another hangout game where you chill with friends, solve puzzles, and have a good time. but the more i played, the more i realized it had this creepy potential that's just begging to be tapped into.

i mean, think about it - you're dropped into this post-apocalyptic world with up to 11 other players, and the only way to communicate is through proximity chat, which can be pretty distorted. it's like the perfect setup for a stealth game, where you can sneak around, jumpscare your friends, and just generally cause chaos. and the best part is, the game's naturalistic environment and day-night cycle make it feel really immersive and realistic.

but here's the thing - the devs are already working on a patch to fix the proximity voice audio, which is kind of a bummer. i was really looking forward to using the distorted voices to create this creepy atmosphere, where you can just whisper creepy phrases to your friends and freak them out. it's like, come on devs, don't take away our ability to be creepy. anyway, the game is out now on mac, nintendo switch 2, pc, and ps5, and preorders are available at major retailers.

one thing that's pretty cool about big walk is the way you can use items in the world to communicate with your friends. like, you can use a walkie-talkie or a flaregun to signal to someone across the map, or even just hold up a big whiteboard with a message scrawled on it. it's pretty funny,Read more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
