omg, you guys, there's some major drama going down at quantic dream, the studio behind star wars eclipse. apparently, they're planning to lay off a bunch of staff after canceling their moba game, spellcasters chronicles, and the french union representing the workers is not having it. they're calling for an open-ended strike, which is pretty wild.



so, here's the deal - quantic dream decided to end development on spellcasters chronicles, and now around 115 workers are at risk of losing their jobs. the union, stjv, is trying to negotiate with the studio to make the layoffs less painful, but it sounds like things are not going well. the union is accusing quantic dream of imposing crazy deadlines, wasting time, and ignoring their proposals. that's pretty shady, if you ask me.



i'm no expert, but it seems like quantic dream is trying to rush through these layoffs without really listening to their employees. the union is demanding that the studio include their proposals in the layoffs plan, which sounds super reasonable to me. i mean, wouldn't you want to have a say in what happens to you if you're facing layoffs? it's not like the union is asking for the moon here. they just want to be heard and have some control over their own fate.
