so, you guys might've heard that xbox is kinda rebranding itself, and i'm not totally sure what to think about it. basically, the ceo, asha sharma, asked fans on social media if they prefer "xbox" or "xbox" in all caps, and the all-caps version won with like 65% of the votes. now, microsoft is using the all-caps "xbox" on some of their accounts, which is pretty interesting.
i mean, it's not a huge change or anything, but it's still pretty cool to see them listening to fan feedback like that. apparently, the original xbox console from back in 2001 had its name in all caps, so this might be a nod to the old days. i kinda like the idea of them bringing back some of that retro vibe, even if it's just a small thing like the logo. it's definitely a conversation starter, and it's got me thinking about the whole brand and how it's evolved over time.
one thing that's got me a bit curious is how this might fit into their bigger plans. like, we know they're working on a new console, project helix, which is supposed to be a next-gen thing. but in the meantime, they're making some changes to game pass ultimate, like lowering the price, which is awesome. however, they're also removing some big titles, like call of duty, from day-one access, which might be a bummer for some people. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in checking it out.
i'm not sure what to expect from all these changes, but i'm hoping it's a sign that xbox is trying to mix things up and stay relevant. i loveRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
