so i just heard about the new riven tides update in arc raiders and i'm super stoked to dive back in. the game's already got this awesome extraction shooter vibe going on, but now they're adding even more cool stuff to the mix. there's a brand new map to explore, which is always a plus in my book, and some pretty intimidating new enemies to deal with.

one of the things that's got me most excited, though, is the last resort event that's running from april 28 to may 25. during this time, we'll be able to earn merits by leveling up and getting xp, which will unlock some sweet new cosmetics and in-game goodies. but here's the thing - we can also find these adorable miniature ship models hidden around the maps, and collecting them will give us even more merits to help us level up faster.

i love that the devs are adding in these little collectibles to keep things interesting. it's always fun to go on a treasure hunt, you know? and the fact that they're ship models is just so cool. i'm already imagining all the different places they might be hiding - maybe on top of buildings, or tucked away in secret rooms. preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm guessing most of us are just going to dive in and start playing as soon as we can.
