so i just heard that those grand theft auto 6 preorder rumors are probably not true, which is kinda disappointing but not super surprising at this point. apparently some people thought preorders would start on monday, but that didn't happen and now everyone's all bummed out again.

i guess some content creators got emails from best buy that made them think preorders were about to go live, and then everyone just ran with it. but now it seems like that was all just a big misunderstanding. i mean, i'm guilty of getting my hopes up too - i've been waiting for this game for ages, just like everyone else. but at the same time, it's hard not to feel like we've been down this road before, you know?

so what do we actually know about gta 6 at this point? basically nothing, except that it's not going to have product placement, which is kinda cool i guess. we also know that take-two, rockstar's parent company, is going to release its next earnings report on may 21, which might be when we finally get some real info about the game. but until then, it's all just speculation and rumors. and let's be real, the gta community has been burned before when it comes to rumors and leaks, so it's probably best to just take everything with a grain of salt.

i'm still holding out hope that we'll get some actual news about gta 6 soon, maybe even a new trailer or something. take-two said that the marketing push would start in earnest this summer, so may would be a great time to kick that off. but at the same time, i'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, because i don't want to be disappointed again. preordersRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
