omg, you guys, have you heard the latest news? games done quick is teaming up with gamescom to bring their epic speedrunning marathon to europe for the first time ever. i'm beyond stoked to see this happen, as it's been a dream of mine to attend a gdq event live. the fact that it's happening in cologne, germany from august 28-30 is just the icing on the cake.

so, for those who might not know, games done quick is an amazing charity organization that's been around for over a decade. they host these insane speedrunning marathons where pro gamers blaze through their favorite games at crazy speeds, all while raising money for awesome causes. and, let me tell you, they've been super successful at it too - last year alone, they raised nearly $5.5 million across their events. that's just mind-blowing to me.

anyway, back to the gamescom gdq event. it's going to be a three-day extravaganza, with tons of talented speedrunners showing off their skills. and, even if you can't make it to cologne in person, don't worry - you'll still be able to catch all the action on twitch and youtube. i'm planning on tuning in for sure, as i love watching these pros do their thing. plus, it's all for a great cause - the proceeds will be donated to gaming for democracy, an initiative that supports civic engagement and democratic values through gaming culture.

i think it's really cool that gdq is partnering with a new charity this time around, and i love that they're using their platform to make a positive impact. preorders are available at major retailers, so be sure to check those out if you'reRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
