omg, you guys, it's finally happened - the super mario galaxy movie has been knocked off its throne at the box office. i mean, it's not like it's a huge surprise or anything, but still, it's kinda sad to see it go. the movie has been dominating the charts since it came out on april 1, and it's made a whopping $830 million globally so far.

i'm not gonna lie, i loved the super mario galaxy movie. it was like a dream come true for a retro gamer like me - the pixel art, the music, the whole vibe... it was all just so perfectly mario. and it seems like i'm not the only one who felt that way, since it's been doing so well at the box office. but, apparently, its reign is over now.

so, what dethroned our beloved mario movie? well, it's a michael jackson biopic called michael, starring jaafar jackson (who's actually michael's nephew, which is pretty cool). it just came out and it's already making waves, with a huge $97 million opening weekend in the us. meanwhile, the super mario galaxy movie made another $21.2 million, which is still pretty good for its fourth weekend in theaters.

i'm curious to see how the michael jackson biopic does in the long run, but for now, i'm just gonna sit here and reminisce about the super mario galaxy movie's time at the top. it was a good run, and i'm glad i got to experience it. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in checking it out. anyway, that's my two cents on the whole thing - what do you guys thinkRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
