omg, you guys, the resident evil movie trailer is finally out and i am totally stoked. i've been waiting for this for ages, and it looks like it's going to be so different from the old resident evil movies. the director, zach cregger, seems to be going for a darker, more intense vibe, which i am totally here for.
i love that the movie is starring austin abrams as the main character - he's been in some pretty cool shows like euphoria and the walking dead, so i'm hoping he'll bring some serious acting chops to the role. and the rest of the cast, including zach cherry and kali reis, seems pretty awesome too. the fact that the director is a huge fan of the games is also a major plus in my book - it means he's probably going to do the series justice.
one thing that's got me a bit curious is that the director doesn't want to be too tied down by the games' storylines. i'm not sure how i feel about this - on the one hand, it's cool that he's trying to do something new and original, but on the other hand, i love the resident evil games and i don't want the movie to stray too far from what makes them so awesome. still, i'm willing to give it a chance and see what the movie has in store for us.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as excited as i am, you can already start getting ready to grab a copy of the movie when it comes out. i'm not sure when exactly that'll be, but i'm hoping it'll be soon - the trailer has definitely gotten me hyped. overall, i'm feeling pretty positive about this new resident evil movieRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
