so i just stumbled upon this really interesting interview with tom taylorson, the voice actor behind scott ryder in mass effect: andromeda. it's pretty cool to hear his thoughts on the game, especially since it got a lot of flak when it came out. apparently, he had an absolute blast working on andromeda, saying it was one of the highlights of his career.

i can kinda see why he'd feel that way - despite its flaws, andromeda is still a pretty fun game. but what's really interesting is that taylorson thinks the game was treated pretty unfairly by ea, and that it was rushed out the door before it was fully ready. he mentions that the developers were forced to use the frostbite 3 engine, which wasn't exactly the best fit for the game's storytelling. it's pretty frustrating to hear that, since it sounds like the game could've been even better with a bit more time and care.

it's also pretty sad to hear that the game's critics were pretty harsh, with taylorson calling them "online chuds". i mean, i know the gaming community can be pretty toxic at times, but it's still disappointing to see people being so mean-spirited. especially when it comes to a game that, despite its flaws, still has a lot of heart and a pretty engaging story. i guess it just goes to show that you can't always trust online reviews, and that sometimes it's better to form your own opinions.

anyway, it's definitely made me want to revisit andromeda and see it in a new light. maybe it's not as bad as i thought it was, and maybe it just needed a bit more love and care to reach its full potential. has anyone elseRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
