omg, you guys, have you heard the latest news about lords of the fallen 2? it's basically a huge deal that the exclusivity contract between ci games and epic games has been cancelled. i mean, we all know how much of a big thing exclusivity deals can be in the gaming world, so this is kinda a shock.

so apparently, the contract got terminated pretty recently, and ci games actually posted the separation agreement online, which is pretty unusual. from what i can tell, they didn't give a super clear reason for why they parted ways, but it's probably safe to say that it's all pretty complicated.

one thing that's cool is that even though the contract is cancelled, ci games still gets to use all the epic assets they've already implemented in the game, like unreal engine 5 and epic online services. this means that the game itself shouldn't be too affected by the split, which is a relief. and who knows, maybe this means we'll get to see lords of the fallen 2 on more platforms, like steam, which would be amazing.

i'm pretty hyped about this game in general, to be honest. the first trailer came out last year and it looks so epic (no pun intended). we're talking battles against gods, people - it's gonna be intense. and with the update that came out for the original lords of the fallen, it's clear that ci games is dedicated to making this series the best it can be.
